Need help with Boy's Name..Suggestions or variations please?!?!
K ladies, most of you have been with me since I found out I was preggo with TJ last January.
We found out today we're having a boy, this time I had NO boy names. My MIL is insisting we try something with John in it since her father's (DH's grandfather) name was John. I also have a brother named Jon.
So far I found 1 I like, that is different enough from our son's name yet goes along with it.
MY BROTHER's NAMES ARE JAMES, JON, AND MIKE OR MICHAEL.
TJ~ Tyler James is already our first son's name.
Tyler means tile maker,
Mason means brick layer
I like the theme even though it's not what I've planned/planning
I either want a suggested middle name, OR a totally new suggested first name and I'm looking for one unique, that you normally wouldn't find outside of a book or romance novel (like the name cole, I don't know many with that name.)
I like Mason, but I agree with JoyRenee...I'd have to think on it for a while for a middle name. I'd be a little annoyed if my MIL was insisting on a name...I mean, I already know the names of my family
, but it is your choice...it's not something you're required to do.
Mason Alexander
Mason Andrew
Mason Thomas...that's all I have for now. What's your husband's name/your grandfather/husband's dad...if you want it in the family
, especially on his side, you could look at first and middle names of the men. That's how we got Elijah Kent, Kent being my husband's grandfather's middle name.
Mason Alexander is one of the names on our list. I love the name, but I don't think hubby is going for it. I can't seem to find another middle name for it though...
Tiredbuthappy~ ??? Mason and Hamilton rhyme?? They are similar definitely. And yes, I'd be ok if my kids first and last name rhymed... Put it this way, I can't think of many nasty names kids can get from "Mason" just like they can't get many out of "Tyler"..... When I was in school, remember I have the skin disorder... and my name is Cynthia, or Cindie for short. Ppl called me Skindy. It ruined my name and my childhood for me. I still to this day remember it and the last time one of my brothers made the mistake of saying it as a joke they got punched HARD.
Joy~ I've been thinking Mason Cole also... I think so far that's what I've settled on... but I want to make sure DH loves it %100 also!
i can't think of any negative nick names either. I think the whole rhyming thing is stuck in my head because I am having issues with first and middle names having similar sounding endings, and it's just not working :(
You're lucky to be set on a name so soon! I think it goes well with TJ :) And if DH doesn't like it 100%, just keep using it. That's how DH got me to love my first baby's name, and that's how I got him hooked on the second baby's name :P
Thanks! I have never been one to be super indecisive on stuff like that. if I find something I like I stick with it. When we picked our wedding date (sep 9, 2005) we just picked the one day. We first settled on month, then the day.
