New at this...could use advise

by Cassielee03, Jul 01, 2009 07:58PM
I was on birth control for about 6 years and in January my boyfriend and I decided that I would get off it and see what happens (kinda the whole "not tryin to get pregnant but not not trying either plan) well I know it takes time for the bc to get out of ur system but it's been almost 7 months and nothing. But this month my period came 4 days early and was pretty normal the first day but it's now the end of the 2nd day and it seems to have slowed down....almost completely...which is odd cuz my cycle is usually at least 4 or 5 days. I also have been very nauseous and threw up once today. I've also noticed that my stomach is a little swelled (which is not normal seeing as im only around 105lbs). Not sure if it's me being hopefull or what. I took a test about 3 or 4 days be4 my perod started but it said negative :-/.

you were on birth control for so long that you body grows dependent on it.  You always had a regular period at the same time because you were having pills determine when you started.  I would say you period is just adjusting to the way you want it to.  Sometimes if your around another female a lot your cycles will get close and closer together, both my sisters and my mom all had our period at the same time.  Lucky for my dad. I would say that is probably it and you could also be bloated from your period.  Give it time, it will happen sooner or later for you!  If you still think you are pregnant try taking a test in a week or so and see.  There are also many ways to track your ovulation to help you get pregnant.  I bought tests from our local drug store for like $20.00 and got pregnant in two month!  I hope everything works out for you!
