Night shifts and pregnancy

Night shifts and pregnancy

Hi :)
currently 20 weeks pregnant (halfway through woop) i am finding it tough though working the night shift! i work 11 hour shifts doing 4 on 4 off, and at weekend it can get quite stressful. i do keep saying to myself 'not long left until maternity leave' but my boyfriend and close friends have noticed a change i me saying im moody and snappy all the time and all i do is sleep, i dont want to be like this i want to enjoy my pregnancy properly! has anyone struggled with work commitments or have similar stories? id love to hear how you cope or what you can do to relax..? im not very good at relaxing lol

What you need to do (besides snapping lol) is take some time for you. You obviously work very hard and now that you're pregnant, doubley so! So if you're tired.. go to sleep! If you need to relax go get a pedi. They have great massage chairs that massage you while they work on your tootsies. For me its my bi weekly indulgences. I always feel rejuvenated and "pretty" afterwards. Also have lil treats for yourself hidden in the back of the fridge. Whether its dove chocolates (my fave :)  or strawberries and whipped cream or get hubby to take you out to get a treat on your day off. Right now, you deserve to be spoiled a lil !
