No fetal pole at 5weeks2day pregnant?

I went to the ER last night for a vaginal infection. (I did IUI, and called my fertility doctor who told me to take Monostat but I know for a fact this is not a yeast infection.) So I go to the ER and they ask me all the basics... "Are you bleeding?" Well no, just spotting, such a small amount that if I was not looking for it I would not have seen it. "Are you in pain, or cramping?" Cramping every now and again, its not consistant, or all the time.... So they do the ultrasound and they see the sac, measures 9mm. But there is no fetal pole. They take my HCG count which at this point is 10,000. (history: on 09.09.09 it was 200, on 09.11.2009 it was 476, and 6 days later its 10,000) Also keep in mind I have no pregnancy symptoms other then sore bb's which seem to come and go, and sleepiness.  She feels that with a 10,000 HCG count she should have been able to see more then a sac. She refered me to another OB to see in 2 days but Im thinking of just waiting it out and going to see my fertility specialist on 09.25.09 (Thats a really long time away!!) Anyone else only have a sac at 5weeks2days, and still had a healthy pregnancy? Please tell me something happy? She said it was a "threatened miscarriage." which I wanted to say "stop lying, before I threaten your life." Please help?

Hi sorry this is happening,i really frustrates me when they say its a threatned miscarriage,they have no proff of this,yes with  a level that high they would expect to see somthing,however in this pregnancy.at 5 weeks 4 days we saw only a sac they said possibly blighten ovum,blah blah blah.yet week later we saw tiny little bean and flicker of heartbeat.i would go to the appointment in 2 days,may see the same may seem more,either way i would think it would help you a little rather than waiting till the 25th.try to stay postive,hope all goes well.

5w2d is sometimes too early to see things. I would wait another week and go in for another scan. This has happened to me before as well.
