No period after ectopic

I had a 2nd ectopic pregnancy 5 weeks ago. Since then I've had one or two darkish spots (not even considered blood) but no period. My last blood test (about 3 weeks after the operation) came back completely normal and hormones back down to 0. Is it normal to wait this long for my period to come?

Did your doctor give you the go ahead to try again? I would say first take a pregnancy test (and maybe see your doctor). Sometimes it can take women up to 8 weeks to get a period after their miscarriage.

I had an ectopic pregnancy treated with methotrexate on 8/3/10. Still no period 12 weeks later. My doctor says it's normal but it seems like a long time...
