Normal progesterone levels?

by Heather5, Oct 31, 2007 07:56PM
I know that anything over 10 is considered sufficient at 7 dpo, but what is normal? Have anyone had their levels checked at 7 dpo (or at other times during the luteal phase)? If so, what were your progesterone levels?

The reason I'm wondering is because my level at 4 dpo was 11, just one above the lower limit. Is this low? Should I ask about progesterone supplements?

I have totally been where you are! I have no idea what my progestrone levels were post o- but when I had my first beta (I was about 4 weeks) my progestrone came back at 11.23! My dr said it needed to be over 10 to support a pregnancy. I didn't take supplements-and here I am 13 weeks 2 days with baby!  Your prgestrone DOES increase as the pregnancy progresses-so don't look too much into numbers.  :)

Thanks guys! I'm actually not pregnant. I had a miscarriage in September, and a week before the miscarriage, my levels were 9 (same as FEMMIE). The doctor put me on progeterone, but I still miscarried. The first cycle after that, before I had my first period, I went back to the doctor for a follow up. I already knew I had ovulated because I take my temps every morning, but he wanted to check to make sure my HCG was back down to 0, so I asked if he could do a progesterone test as well. He agreed, and it came back at 11. That was 4 days past ovulation (according to my bbt chart). Anyway, I guess I'm just worried that maybe I've had a progesterone problem the whole time, since this was my second miscarriage. But, from what mel382738 is saying, I guess 11 is OK then. Thanks again!
