Ovulation Question

by Sunkissed19, Apr 27, 2009 05:14PM
i was wondering how you can tell if your ovulating or not when your cycle is a bit off...(i went to the doctors and the dr. said my period was 2 weeks late because my body is still regulating after taking the b/c patch off in late january). So, with that being said how can i tell when its happening..without like going crazy with opk sticks and temping i just mean like the natural cm way or if ur cervix is high or low or like the average time your supposed to ovulate during your cycle. like i had my AF the 22nd and it ended the 25th..and they are usually only 3-5 days long like that..usually 3. anything anyone can tell me about ovulation in general would be helpful...im not looking at ttc right now but would like more info on noticing these signs to be more educated and knowledgeable about my cycles..so i can be aware of whats happening and when its happening because i havent been off of birth control in a long time and now i am so i want my body to naturally take its course. So, load me up on the info girls! thanks a bunch : )

It is hard to tell when you are ovulating if you don't take opks. There is no way to tell when you ovulate if you don't do some method of charting or opk's... I wouldn't know how to tell. I would pick a week and start testing with an opk.

I used OPK's and temperature tracking for the first time the month that we conceived, even though we've been trying since July -08 - so I guess it worked for us!  Good luck :-)

I have never had much luck with the OPK's, but I have found that charting has been the best for me.  I have only charted 2 cycles and I can already tell by looking at the big picture about when I ovulate.  I have about a 32-33 day cycle and a 11 day luteal phase so I know that I ovulate around day 20-21 of my cycle.  Unfortunately, I think without some kind of charting or OPK, it would be difficult to figure out exactly when you ovulate.  I wish you GOOD LUCK and BEST WISHES!

does anyone know anything about feeling your cervix? like how its supposed to feel or if its high or low while ovulating....and the best way to find your cervix in general?

As for your cervix it is supposed to be soft, high, open and wet (SHOW)... I hope this helps!
