Ovulation question

Ovulation question

Question.  My LMP was 2/3, and I usually ovulate around 14 days after AF starts.  I have ben trying to take my BBT (which I have not been so great at) and I noticed that my temp dropped from about 97.79 to 97.1 this morning.  I heard that the temp dips prior to ovulation, but does anyone know how soo before ovulation the temp dips?  So far OPKs have been negative.  I didn't ovulate last month after my m/c and I am becoming nervous that I will not ovulate again. Any advice?

so sorry about your loss. im not sure about the temp, i dont check mine, but i do know that unless you have an exact 28 day cycle you dont ovulate on day 14. unless you have a short letual phase , you ovulate 14 days befor af. so if you have 31 day cycles you would ovulate later. and on those ophs, sometimes they can show false neg if you dont do them right. also, if you had a normal period you must have ovulated last month cause you get your period after you ovulate, not befor. try going to mymonthlycycles.com and start charting your periods. good luck

I have ovulated on the 14th day, prior to the m/c two cycles in a row.  But from you are saying, I can get a normal period if i never ovulated?  What if you are on birth control.  You don't ovulate on birth control but get your period.  I am so confused.  I did go on mymonthly cycles.com and it is very similar to Babyzone.com ovulation predictor.  Who knows anymore.  Sorry I am being a downer. I a just a bit depressed today.

I know what you mean with the placebo birth control pills.  What I don't completely agree with is the statement that if you get your period, you definitely have ovulated.  I know my SIL needed clomid to ovulate and she got her period regularly.  Anyway, I am probably stressing for no reason what so ever.
