Period started for one day then went away

I've been having unprotected sex for awhile now and this month my period was 13days late. When i finally got my period it lasted for one day and not even the whole day. it was just a little bit of bleeding and thats it. Could i be pregnant? I took a test a couple days after my period was late and it said neg. has anyone had this problem before and been pregnant? what could be going on?

I made a doc apointment but they cant get me in for a week or more. Please let me know anything you think this may be.

Well, you very well could be pregnant.  The hormone levels could have been to low to read at that time, try testing again?  And if still negative wait till your doctors appt!

Thank you very much for your imput. Has anyone ever heard of this happening to someone and them being pregnant?
I'm just very confused with whats going on with me. I havent had any craps and the only bleeding was that one day the only thing that has been going on, which probably has nothing to do with this, is my lower back has been hurting . i havent taken another test yet i want to wait awhile so it will be accurate. The wait is killing me. my doc cant get me in for a week and i just want to know what other people think about this.

Well, with my first I went 7 months of testing and all were negative and finally at 7 months 1 day I had a blood test and sure enough I was pregnant, 7 months and 1 day pregnant LOL  Although couldn't tell you if I had any bleeding..  

A friend of mine went 2 months with 1 day of spotting and was pregnant.  She had 3 negative tests, and then a positive one.
