Please help - very confused

After a year of infertility and being seen by a fertility specialist, I have been diagnosed with PCOS. After 3 months of clomid and IUI I was lucky enough to get pregnant. I unfortunately miscarried at 5 1/2 weeks (that was the weekend of Nov 30th), it's now December 20. My HCG levels when I first found out that i was pregnant were at 24, a couple days later they were up to 87. The weekend I miscarried they went down to 40, a few days later 25.13 - a few days after that 25.83  -- a week after that 32!! What's going on? Why could my levels be going up?? Shouldn't they be decreasing?? I should also mention that in the last week I have been experiencing ovulation-like discharge with a very little of blood (specks in the discharge) as well as the regular ovulation cramping that I get.
I know I can't be diagnosed without you seeing me, however, I'm just curious about what COULD be going on and whether or not I should be worried about this. Also, how long on average, should I be expecting my HCG levels to get back down to 0?

I don't know much about rising HCG . . . after MC . . . I would think they should steadily decrease.  What does doc say??  Have they ultrasounded??
