Now I have taken a pregnancy test and it is positive. What are the odds it is a false positive. I have missed two periods and have many symtoms. I do have a doctors appointment on 11/20, but I have been taking the birth control pill and also hydrocodone for shoulder pain. Can either of these harm the fetus? Even though this pregnancy, obviously was not planned, I am shomewhat happy yet scarred at the same time. But, being a gift from God, I am more worried I may have harmed the baby. Please advise.

congrats you know you can go to the pregnancy forum. a preggo test cant give a false positive because it detected the preggo hormone hgc. have a wonderful 7 more months. i would say ask the doctor. but dont take anymore of the medication. the only medication that a preggfo women can take is tylenol.

I can't remember what hydrocodone is however I know that if you take vicodine during pregnancy it is okay. Birth control isn't good to take if you are pregnant however if you haven't been pregnant for that long you should be fine. But like the last poster said contact your doctor to find out what they think.

well congrats.. your lucky as far as the birthcontroll its ok as long as you stop it when you find out.. so dont take it any more.. the hydrocodone i would stop it right away.. unless your doc says you can take while you are pregnate.. i think it is really harmful for the baby cause it usually puts us to sleep.. so call your doctor..

Doesn't sound like that BC pill was working anyway.... throw those suckers out!  =)  Congrats on your pregnancy you have LOTS of women paddling the same boat with you.  I'm a nervous wreck!  Welcome to the club!
