Possibly Cystic Hygroma

by RayNYC, Dec 11, 2007 01:44PM
Hello.
My wife and I are healthy young couple in our 20's. We are currently 10 weeks pregnant and went to our OB last night for our US. He told us that he wants us to go for a second opinion with a specialist as he noticed that there was fluid behind the neck of the fetus. My question is that is 10 weeks too early? He also mentioned that the specialist would do another US and compare them. I am scared cause we just want our first baby to be healthy and are devasted that there may be something wrong. I really hope nothing is wrong but waiting around makes one think of worst case scenarios...Any advice would be great.
Thanks.
