If I ovulate late in my cycle (day 22-24) when can I take a pregnancy test and be confident that it's accurate?

Any woman can get an accurate result about 14 days after ovulation or when they miss their period.

Thanks! Recently, I haven't been able to get my period on my own and had to use Provera & Clomid. My period was never normal before that (30-65 day cycles). Do you still think that if I were to wait 14 or so days I could trust the pregnancy test? My doctor hasn't been really clear about any of this....

Yes, I do think you could trust a pregnancy test 14-16 days after you ovulate even with irregular cycles because the time between ovulation and your period is called the luteal phase. It only lasts 12-16 days typically. The embryo needs 10-12 days to fertilize, implant, and begin giving off HCG into your blood stream and urine. So a test should be accurate at that time.
