Pregnancy after Gestational Trophoblastic Disease/Molar Pregnancy

by cmitc11, Nov 19, 2008 01:42PM
I found out that I lost my baby on 8/21/08 and had a D&C on 8/25, after the D&C the dr informed me that it was Gestational Trophoblastic Disease or Molar Pregnancy.  My Beta HCG levels went back to normal range on 10/7/08 and was told that I should wait for 6 months before ttc again.  Has anyone ever dealt with this disease and how long did you wait ttc again?

My cousin's wife had a molor pregnancy and was told to wait 1 year before trying again. I lost a baby at 19 weeks due to chromosone issure and the same Dr told me to wait just 3 months, so I'm thinking there is a reason why they tell you to wait at least 6 months...vs other pregnnacy complications
