Pregnant or Just Weird?

So, I am having some confusion. I'll tell you the whole story. On the 22 of April I began my period, and on the 23 of April I started taking birth control. I did this the way my doctor had asked me to. My period was only 3 days long, which for me is kinda weird, but whatever. This morning I got up and went pee, and to my surprise, I had some brown discharge. It's been going on all day so far but only when I got pee and wipe. It doesn't show up in my underwear at all.
I know that when you first begin taking birth control you can have spotting through the first 3 months, but I was on birth control for 4 years before getting pregnant with my son and never had spotting, not once. So I am wondering is this spotting from maybe being pregnant or is it from my birth control? A couple days ago I had some really light cramping, like period cramps, but nothing came of them. Also the last couple days I have been non stop hungry, which could also be from both possibilities; pregnant, or birth control. I am so confused, and wondering if maybe anyone has any opinions, or advice, or anything! Being pregnant wouldn't be a bad thing, I only started the birth control because I wanted lighter periods, and birth control does this for me. So I don't know what to think... so any thoughts would be splendid right about now!!!

Have you thought about getting some blood work done, just in case?  If you are pregnant, you wouldn't want to continue taking the birth control pills.  I'm not sure if the HPT would be accurate, since you are on the BC pills, but I would think the levels from a blood test would give more accurate information.

Sounds like your body getting used to bc...you could call your doc to confirm if this is the case though...
