I myself would wait it out. I watch Special DeliveryC-section Delivery presentations Infant care following delivery on Discovery Health every morning before I leave out for work, and they show dozens of womenWomen's way with huge fibroids some the size of grape fruits have 8 & 9lb healthy babies. They don't let them labor they will just schedule a c-section. Keep the faith and know that every baby that's meant to be here is here! They would normally treat you as a high risk patient and monitor you closely. Does you OB feel there's any concern why you shouldn't try to carry the pregnancy?
Hi there. I had a uterine fibroid when I was pregnant with my daughter. I carried to full term but the last 6-8 weeks I had a lot of hip area and lower back pain due to the extra pressure on it. I had no other effects than that - sorry to say it does get painful in the end, I had my daughter via c-section and they removed it immediately after I gave birth.
My doctor said to wait a for about 2 years before trying to conceive again as I needed extra time to heal and my husband and I are trying again. Good luck!
