Provera users... any help

I am about to take Provera. The Dr prescribed a 5 day dose. She said I will either start my period during those 5 days or a couple days after that. I am guessing that Im not ovulating since Im not having a period/ I was on bc pills for 8 years so I know thats a bad thing :*(
I just really want to get a period and start trying.  Did any of you take Provera and get a period and then ovulate afterwards? How was your l uck? Anyone get pregnant after taking it without clomid?

I was on Provera for 5 days got my period after taking all the pills, I was on clomid for days 5-9 and got pregnant on the third month of clomid. I did not ovulate till the third month on clomid.

Thanks for responding. I dont think the Dr will put me on clomid yet because Im only in my second month TTC. They only are putting me on provera to start my period... I start taking it tonight actually. Im hoping I can ovulate by myself. Id ont think they put you on clomid until you have been trying for at least a year... so I guess I have a long wait.... sigghhhhhhhhhh

My husband and I were trying for two years and then after clomid I got pregnant my daughter is now three and we have been trying again for ayear and a half so I got clomid again and is on my 2 month hope it works, good luck and I hope you get your baby fast. I will be praying for you because I know how hard it is.
