Provera

My doctor prescribed me provera for irregular periods. He prescribed me 21 pills w/refills. (10mg) I have taken it two cycles before this one- this being the 3rd time. The other two times, I started bleeding 3 or 4 days after taking it. This time, I have been taking it for 6 days,and still no bleeding. I was wondering what the reason for this could be. Should I take a preg. test? If so, how long should I wait before doing so? Is it reasonable or safe to take provera for 21 days straight?(especially in the case of possible pregnancy?)

I didn't- I was having a period every 2 weeks.
