Shooting pains

by Kimberlee_20, May 27, 2009 10:30PM
For the past 2 weeks or so I've had really sharp shooting pains in my "feminine" area. What could this be? I'm 33w3d pregnant. I have a doctors appt. on Friday and I'll ask him then, but any suggestions?

i get those too, do they feel like some one is scratching you or stabbing you from the inside down there? my dr told me that its most likely the baby is hitting or sitting on a nerve.

I get it now and I'm 22 weeks. samday09 couldn't describe it better. That's exactly how I explain it everytime it happens. Probably the baby doing something or things are stretching and preparing for baby. Mine is quite painful at times.

I started getting that this week I'm 31 weeks.  But my whole pelvic area has been hurting for months but its more of a soreness pain.  The stabbing pain is new.

I was getting those pains about 2 months ago and now I am getting them A LOT! I know they are normal but I dont know what they are. They are so bad it makes me double over when they happen, it feels like it is directly in my cervix.

My pelvic area is also sore... I am 31 weeks.  Could the pelvic pain be caused by the bones starting to spread?

Good question, haha I'm going to have to ask my doctor tomorrow, but I've been getting them and cramping quite frequently!

I told my doc at an appointment in the 30+ week range that I thought my son had a swiss army knife in there.  I kept feeling like he was stabbing me and some times it felt like he was pinching me very hard.  I had one night while i was a passanger in a car where I was screaming and jumping in pain every few seconds.  my husband asked me if i wanted to go to the hospital and I told him there was nothing they could do.  they couldnt stop him from pinching me.  not so looking forward to that this time around!
