Stripped Membranes and 1cm dialated... when do you think she will go?

Alright so my best friend is 1cm. 80% effaced and her doctor stripped her membranes today.  I am supposed to be there for the birth but I'm supposed to work tuesday - thursday and I work an hour away.  When do you think she will have her little one?  Today... is that a possiblity or does it take longer than that after her membrances are stripped?  Tell some stories if you had your membranes stripped.

I had my membraines stripped at the dr office ( I was 90% effaced and 3 cm dilated) with my first and he said i should have gone in to labor over the weekend...... NOPE! Never did, they ended up inducing me! SO i think it honestly depends on the woman and her body and if she is really ready to go in to labor!

With my first it happened about 3 days after having my membranes stripped, My 2nd it happened the next day and my 3rd it never happened, went into labor on my own after having it done 2x's almost 2 weeks after the first stripping. I was also 3 cm with each one at the time. I think Justice said it right:) Every woman is diffrent and her body must be ready too. Its only done to help get things moving........if her body is ready:)
My BFF didnt make it to my last delivery cause it was a 2 hour labor! I wouldnt worry about not making it to your friends..........1st babies tend to take a little while:)  My 1st took 6 hours, 2nd 3 hours, and 3rd was 2 hours. Good luck!

When I was p/g with DS I went in on a Thursday evening to get checked and I was 2 cm and 90% effaced. He did NOT strip my membranes since I was 38 wks and 2 days and it was my first. That night I started having regular contractions but they didn't bother me much until late Friday. Had him Saturday evening a 6:25 p.m :-) It all depends on when that little one is ready to come meet the world :-)

She is 39 weeks on Wednesday and this is her first... I guess her doctor is nice to have stripped her membranes then.  She just lost her mucus plug also.  Has anyone gone into labor without having a bloody show?

Only my last baby did I have a bloody show. My water has never broken on its own either.
