Tested twice this morning… 2 faint lines, 2 different brands… AM I PREGNANT???? Please help….

by Nadia77, Jan 18, 2008 04:39AM
Hi all, I had a missed miscarriage in Aug 2006, that was my first pregnancy... since then I have been having some health concerns which are under investigation.... I was planning to try for a baby after my feb period if my tests all turn negative, which so far have been...  My last period was on 21 Dec 07, my periods are usually 28-31 days but mostly 28/29 days especially before the miscarriage. My period usually lasts about 4 days.

Now I had unprotected sex on day 11 which was on 31/12/08...  As I was expecting ovulation around day 16/17...  sex after that was protected. However using my birth control monitor it showed day 14 and 15 as expected ovulation.... since then I started to think that I may have got pregnant if the sperm can live up to 4/5 days... I have hardly had any symptoms expect for moooody and feeling tired and sleepy... no sore boobs or nipples or... I have always had constipation problem which comes and goes so can not be a sign for  me... my period is due today or by the latest Monday/Tues.... I tested this early morning, and had a faint line on a cheap test stick then decided to also test using first response and also showed a faint line within the written instruction time..... So am I pregnant?? I remember first time I got pregnant I had more symptoms also when tested couple of days passed my due date had a dark second line using first response... I have not told my husband, as I am not sure I am and don’t want to make him happy then it turns to be not.... I am planning to see my DR but they will not see me in less than at least 5 working days... please help

if you tested twice and both were faint positives, its sounds pretty promising...just to be sure you could probably test the day of your missed period and if you get another faint line at least you know that a line is a line and you really are pregnant. Good luck!

i always use the digital tests because there is no line guessing, but i got 4 faint positive lines and i am now 6-7 weeks along after a MC in october.  Good luck and enjoy this one

It sounds like your pregnant to me! I would test again in a day or two to see if the line is any darker or as leighanne said take a digital theres no guessing with that.. goodlcuk to you and enjoy! I know easier said than done when you've had a miscarriage before.. I had a miscarriage in Feb and am currently 11 weeks pregnant..

Congratulations! The test is positive. It doesn't matter how dark or faint the line is just as long as the line is visible. Good luck!!

I have a good feeling you are prego...If you last LMP was Dec. 21st, then it sounds like you are since most pregnancy tests can detect a pregnancy a few days before a missed period...well CONGRATS!!!

by Lusie123, Jan 18, 2008 12:08PM
we have the same due date!!!  :)

by Nadia77, Jan 18, 2008 12:19PM

I took your advice and tested again this morning using clear blue digital and it showed PREGNANT..... so I guess I am........ I still can not believe it....and haven't told my husband about it........the good thing is I am very happy and the bad thing is that I started to worry about this pregnancy already.........
