i really like the hadley james but i am always a different one when picking names i am having a boy and his name is elliott jaymz and i spell it totally different than anyone else and that how i am and will remain but i dont think hadley sounds like a boy name there are so many universal names out there now it could be either or good luck
I have to agree with you DH and say Emerson is a boys name espically when paired with James. KeyD made a good point to when you add James to both names it sounds very boy! I like the 2 middle names to make it a lot more girl!!! GOd Bless in the decision you make and i am so sorry to hear about your Father!
i love the name emerson but honestly for a boy....but i also love the name hadley ...for a girl. i think Hadley James sounds sweet especially if its for your father....plus goes cute with Aubree!
I like Hadley James better. Emerson sounds too much like a boys name. Hadley is a littleLittle noses decongestant Little tummys boyish but very unusual. I like the idea of Hadley Catherine James. Its got all of them in there but still feminine.
I would go more with Hadley and do the two middle names like some of the other said. :] But instead like this: Hadley James-Catherine (Last name). It sounds a lot better and the flow seems more put together too.
My daughter has a two middle names: Tyler-Marie (hence the name Tyler is masculine) but we made it more feminine the way we put it all together.
Its all how you want to do your child's name....and what you and your DH like.
if we have a girl our daughter will also have two middle names....DF's grandmother is in the process of dying from liver cancer we arent sure how much longer she will be with us for.. so she will have her name as a middle name plus the one we already had picked out added together.
i like hadley james but i think you should put a girly twist so people dont think its her last name or she has two last names!! jaymes or search feminines forms of james
uumm..... they r cute names..... but remember you R havin a agirl...... its totally ur choice.............. do u think shell like the name?? how about emersyn jamee???????? give it a thought!!!!!!!!!!!
all i meant was that she is going to be wearing pink/purple.......... and u will be calling out hey hadley james???? or emerson??????? u wanted opinion you got it...... dont take it the wrong way but look at all possibilities............ afterall she wont be able to change her name................. i had a hard time figuring out what to name my child........ shes trilingual................. and my friends parents names are tina and nelson, her name is tinnelle.............. :)
What about if you were to do something like scramble the letters of the name James? Like, Hadley Sajem, Hadley Majes, Hadley Semaj? My Father's name is Myron and we came up with the name Romyn (Roman) with his name letters. Ben didn't like it so it was out, but my brother will use it for his littleLittle noses decongestant Little tummys boy. Also, my good friend had a baby and wanted to honor her mother, who passed away from cancer shortly after the baby was born. Her name was Debra. She didn't like that name very much but scrambled the letters of her name and came up with Brade (Brady). That is her child's middle name. I love when the letters are scrambled, a different idea. Just a thought (:
I asked my DH about Emerson and if it sounded like a boys name and he didnt say, but he did bring up that she could be called Emmy for short:-)I hadnt thought of that.
Emerson definitely sounds masculine to me. When paired with James, I really think of a boy. I like Hadlie Catherine-Jaymes. I'm not a big Kristen Stewart fan, but her middle name is Jaymes. I think it adds a touch of femininity to the name.
i am with you nicole! HADLIE CATHERINE-JAYMES! too cute, i said the same thing about the spelling of james and i liked jaymes too!!! and now i love the spelling of hadlie! GOOD CHOICE
How about Jamie instead of James as a more feminine namesake in honor of your father?
With out the Catherine they are both cute but do sound a little boyish and even more so with James.
My daughter has a two middle names: Tyler-Marie (hence the name Tyler is masculine) but we made it more feminine the way we put it all together.
Its all how you want to do your child's name....and what you and your DH like.
Good Luck
