Thongs

by Barbs123, Nov 29, 2007 09:31AM
Is it ok to wear thongs during pregnancy or is that bad? Can it cause infection due to the moisture and discharge? Anyone know?

by fsantiago, Nov 29, 2007 09:34AM

by ExpectingaRedhead, Nov 29, 2007 09:34AM
You can wear thongs...of course even when not pregnant, make sure they are breathable. That means no latex or anything. ;)

I've pretty much wore thongs the whole time... much more comfortable! :)

by chantal21, Nov 29, 2007 10:53AM
I have to say for the longest time I was so skeptical about thongs especially while pregnant! lol. But I must say...they are wonderful. I am going to buy some maternity ones soon. I just saw them the other day in the store and they are really nice looking! =)

by mamaofonetrying42, Nov 29, 2007 10:54AM
NO, I wore them my hold pregnancy!!!

by rachie204, Nov 29, 2007 01:20PM
This makes me sad....I miss my thongs.  LOL My hubby thinks they are "trashy" so I stopped wearing them.  You know what I think I am going to go buy some today.  I am sick of panty lines and weggies.  :)

Aww why would your husband think they are trashy? I would think, that he would think the complete opposite. lol. I hear ya on the panty lines and weggies...haha

by rachie204, Nov 29, 2007 01:41PM
I know!...He was very shelterd growing up.  :(  I am sure I scare the crud out of him sometimes!  LOL

by chantal21, Nov 29, 2007 01:46PM
LOL You can also remind him that he is the only who actually sees them!! =)

by rachie204, Nov 29, 2007 01:49PM
I know.  I think he worries I will bend over and them peek out or something.

by ziggysgrl0724, Nov 29, 2007 01:52PM
oh man...thongs duruing pregnancy? wow that never occurred to me....im not a big thong person, but I prob could have skydived with my maternity underwear strapped to my back!!!!  they were  HUGE!

by Skylynns_mom, Nov 29, 2007 01:57PM
LOL I am normally a thong wearer and I havent been able to wear them.  I am sooooo sad, b/c of all the added moisture and what not from being prego they became really uncomfortable and I think i started to get a yeast infection, I switch to boy shorts(booty shorts whatever you want to call them) they are actually great and I felt so much better after the switch.  Every once in a while i try to get away with wearing a thong and it bothers me so once this baby is out and I have stopped bleeding then I am sooooo switching back to thongs LOL

by Brown Eyed Gurl, Nov 29, 2007 02:20PM
Rachie LOL my Dh is exactally the same way he wants me to wear the granny panties.  He said the same thing he doesn't want anyone to see if I bend over.....and LOL he said women who wear thongs you can tell cause their booty cheeks jiggle.....LOL he's so silly....I miss thongs too.

by guatmommy, Nov 29, 2007 02:22PM
I am still weaing thongs and plan to for as long as I can get away with it.  My sister wore thongs her entire preg.- regular ones... not even prego ones

by rachie204, Nov 29, 2007 02:26PM
yeah...my hubby says...i want you to dress like a mommy!  Haha

by ExpectingaRedhead, Nov 29, 2007 04:17PM
I love thongs. I would spend hundreds of dollars on panties and bras if I could. I have been looking for maternity friendly lingerie as well to wear for my hubby. He has been asking. ;)

I can't believe some of your hubbies don't like thongs!!

by Jame0223, Nov 29, 2007 04:35PM
Man my boyfriend LOVES my thongs...especially g strings! He likes em small n sexy haha and I don't have tiny butt either! But he likes it. I actually like boy shorts and bikini underwear without the panty lines! Breathable and comfy..sometimes thongs just get to me haha they can be uncomfy..maybe its just the ones that look good to me but oh well! And I wore them while I was pregnant too! Probably would have throughout if it had continued!

by rachie204, Nov 29, 2007 04:57PM
my hubby thinks g-strings are the worse.  LOL !  Now this is strange...he just got a new harley and he thinks it would be neat if I wore chaps with a thong under hanging out while we ride at bike week!  LOL  I would NEVER do that...okay well maybe when I was 16 i would have but not now...yet he doesnt want me to wear them any other time.  ??? makes no sense to me.   I have also been looking for maternity lingerie..not just bras and panties but cute outfitts but  I have had no luck looking.  Anyone else know of a good place or site?

by Jame0223, Nov 29, 2007 04:59PM
I guess I am lucky. There's a store in the mall about 10 minutes from my house that is for maternity only. I was looking forward to shopping there but never got the chance to! Look for stores on line? Or by from online!
