UTI

Is it true that sometimes pregnancy and a UTI go hand and hand??? Just wondering because I have one and tomorrow I will be 14dpo...........Just been reading up on it through google and was wanting some opinions from all of ya'll.......of course today I had nausea, discomfort in my stomach, headache.....lol...sometimes these things can really kick your butt!!!

When I first found out I was pregnant it seemed like I was getting sick (from cold) easier.  i felt like my immune system was weakened.  So maybe a UTI can go hand and hand with pregnancy.  One of my first symptoms was that my breast were sore.

well I've had a BAD cold for the last week. I'm just not getting over it. It's the cough that's so freakin hard to get rid of it seems like...yea people keep asking me how I'm feeling and I all I can say is...UGH!....I cant really explain it...i just feel really yucky! My breasts are hurting so bad right now i can't even let my inner arms touch the sides of them....(sorry if tmi)

I've had a non stop cold myself and most recently felt like I had a UTI or something! Weird! And today I started getting a really bad headache...eww

I completely understand.  I'm only six weeks pregnant, but I found out very early.  Anyway my breast hurt so bad, I couldn't bounce down the stairs anymore...lol.  I hope you get your positive result soon.  U are having some of the same symptoms I was having.
I'm just a little worried because my breast aren't as sore anymore.  I don't have any nausea.  I'm afraid my symptoms aren't as strong anymore.  I had 2 m/c in past so I'm extreeeeeeeeemley worried.  We have a US tomorrow.  Maybe I'll feel better then.

I'm thinking it's promising too. I just got done reading something on ivillage that gave me another sign...but I won't go into details because it's about bb's...LOL....by the way how many DPO are u??

I've heard that sometimes your symtoms go away during the middle of your pregnancy and you feel great until the very end....let us now how the US goes. I'm sure you'll be just fine!!! :)

My doctor said it's ok for that to happen, but with my history I can't help but worry.  Anyway we'll find out if it's one or two, and hopefully see the heartbeat.

It is more common to get a UTI or yeast infection during pregnancy since more bacteria gathers in that area for some reason I can't remember when you are pregnant. I got one for the first time when I was pregnant. SO annoying I felt like I had to pee every damn second.

I have no clue! LOL We BD'd on Feb 3rd, 13th, 14th and 17th....and I'm pretty sure I Ovulated on the 16th because I was having really bad pains and than the next morning I had the CM. So if anything I'm only 2 or 3DPO-hardly! But still have CM and just got a really bad headache today. Just keeping an eye on all my symptoms...I have no clue when AF is due since my Cycles are changing every month..so we'll see!

alaysha- not sure if i'm preg or not....just hoping. tomorrow I'll be 14dpo....so if AF doesn't come I will def get a test

Gina209-sounds like you had a REALLY good chance of conceiving!!! whoo hoo lots of baby dust!! it's just so hard to keep up with signs because AF and Preg signs are so much alike...UGH!!

one of the girls i work with told me she was ttc back in november or december i think. not long after she told me that she ended up having a UTI. she took her antibiotic and right as she was finishing it up she found out she was 2 weeks pregnant!! so that supports your case in a way i guess!

also though, most UTI's are contracted through sex. It's not an STD, it's just when one has sex and doesn't go to the bathroom right after or clean the vaginal region right after, one's chances of getting an UTI increases b/c of the bacteria that builds up. and of course we all know that when we are ttc the last thing we want to do is go straight to the bathroom after baby dancing!! that might be a good explanation as to why many pregnant women contract UTIs right before getting pregnant.
