you might not be exactly 6 weeks 2 days you may have ovulated a day or 2 later which would make you a little less.. a gest. sac is the big sac. the yolk sac is the smaller one in that in which you will see the baby one. some people do not see the fetal pole til towards the end of their 6th week. so try not to stress.
He must have some concerns, or you would not be having a repeat ultrasound so soon.
However, you don't always see everything at 6w2d, and there is always the possibility that you are a few days less than what you think. (caused by late ovulation)
At 5 weeks 1 Day we saw our Gestational Sac and Yolk Sac and than when I was exactly 6 weeks we saw our lil baby and heard its heartbeat! Then again I have heard of women hearing it earlier and later. I agree with the ladies above and think it definitely depends on when you Ovulated. I Ovulated an entire week later than I thought, so you might not be as far along as you think. Try not to stress, good luck at your next U/S!
When I was 6 weeks on the dot we were able to see a Gestational Sac and a ylok sac and were able to see a heartbeat....( They did not listen to see if they were able to hear it. Like Leighanne said you may not be excatally 6 weeks 2 days. It does indeed worry me that he mentioned something about a miscarriage.... Keep us posted on what you find out in 2 weeks.. Best of Luck.
