Hey ladies,
How is everyone doing in the weight-gain department? I've been getting very overwhelmed lately by so many places (websites, emails, the doctor) saying I'm gaining weight too fast. I've gained about 18 lbs now and I'm at 24 weeks. My BMI before I got pregnant was 20, so I was on the low-end of normalNormal saline flush. I'm definitely not unhappy with the way I look right now, I think I look fine...I seem to be mostly belly, not anything in the legs, arms, or faceFace pain...but it's getting me very downhearted reading over and over that I weigh too much. My husband says I look fine, too.
I just don't understand what all these guidelines want me to do! If I'm supposed to weigh less, where should the weight come off from if it's not really anywhere but my belly??? I've even been doing elliptical for 30 minutes 5 times a week.
Grrr...
Has anyone else been upset by these weight gain guidelines?
I didn't pay attention to weight gain during pregnancy. I just focused on eating healthy and taking my vitamins and getting enough water. At the end of the day, if I gained a lot then oh well. At least I was doing what I needed to do. BTW, I ended up gaining 39 lbs this last pregnancy.
