Wellbutrin and Lexapro

by sas333, Jan 27, 2008 03:10AM
My Fiancee (man) is currently on Wellbutrin and Lexapro and we would like to try for a baby this year.  Do you know if this will effect his sperm or fertility or have any influence on the pregancy or baby?  I'm the soon to be wife and not on any medication.  We would like to know before we start trying.  Thanks for your help!!

I don't know of any adverse effects that the meds would have on his sperm count/quality, etc. Medication is always a concern if the woman is pregnant, but since this isn't the case with you, I don't think it would affect anything.  He should ask the doctor that is prescribing his medication what kind of affect this will have, but to my knowledge, it shouldn't have much of an effect.
