When are you suppost to start Vitamin D drops?

I have a baby that is 3 weeks on Sunday. Now I've been told to start Vitamin D drops by the public heath nurse and others but the doctor says not until 3 months. What have you been told?

I have never heard of starting vitamin D drops. What are they supposed to be for? I would wait until 3 months like the doctor says, he is the one who speacialies in babies and went to school for that purpose.

i know a friend's baby who started the vitamin D drop very early b4months..3 months is very late...check it out again....before ti is late ...
