When did your belly button pop out? LOL.

Hello ladies, I hope everyone is enjoying the beautiful weather. I just had a quick question. To everyone whose belly buttons have popped out during pregnancy about when did it happen? I am just about 18 weeks and I am just wondering when to expect it. And what exactly causes it? Is it the pressure of the uterus or the baby? Or both? Thanks.

hey, thats a good question!

I'm 29 weeks and if I push on both sides of my belly button I can "pop" it out. But it doesnt stick out on its own yet. I'm guessing it will happen at like 34 or 35 weeks..

The uterus grows and your skin becomes so taut and the organ pushes against your skin so that your belly button will stick out. Usually happens after the uterus reaches the navel (20 weeks is when that particular thing happens). But it might be a few weeks after the 20-week mark. Just depends!

I'm 32w4d and I just noticed mine sticking out a couple of days ago. Looks kinda cute......lol.....Feels weired.  I have my belly button peirced too so it's started pushing it out further too. You can see it when I wear certain tops....

im 23 weeks and mine doesnt pop out and im kind of glad it doesn't i dont think its that important im more ready for my 9 month mark so this baby can "pop" out lol

Not everyone's belly button pops out.  Mine was about 25 weeks or so but I carried large.  My sil never had hers pop, it just flattened out for her.  By my ninth month my belly was sooo big my belly button spread.  It wasn't cute.
