Yeast Infection

I have a urinary infection and yeast infection, which the doctor put me on meds for.  The Anitbiotic has caused a yeast Infection and I cannot afford the medicine to take care of both.  I called the Nurse Practitioner and she told me to continue the Antibiotics but it is causing a severe yeast infection.  Can I use Monistat to help with the yeast infection and drink cranberry juice for the urninary tract infection?  I am approx. 3 months pregnant and in pretty good health.  I have been dx with HPV but the bx has shown no cancer. I don't think the N.P. or Doctor understands how bad this is for me and causing me to be uncomfortable.

I have taken over-the-counter yeast infection meds before in my first pregnancy.....if you are that uncomfortable, you can try it, but if you stop taking the antibiotic, that isn't good for you either, you can get the infection twice as bad if you don't finish it. How long have you been on the meds?? If you are just about done, try an OTC med for the yeast infection even with the antibiotic, to make you more comfortable until the medicine is gone....maybe just enough, then use the rest afterwards. They have the 3-day packs, you could use one for now, and the rest later.
