Zofran for sickness

by praying hard, Dec 14, 2007 12:14PM
I'm still battling "morning" sickness everyday.  My Dr. suggested that I take Zofran.  Does anyone take this and has it been proven safe for the baby??  I'm now 9 weeks, so I'm hoping that I only have to endure a month or so longer of being sick :)

I only know of one person who takes it and I know that her daughter was born healthy and happy.  I am also nine wks and very miserable.  I hope the next few weeks bring a let up on the puking lol.  Good luck and let me know what you decide.

Thanks.  I will probably go another week or so and see if I'm still sick.  If I am, I'll probably take the Zofran.

When are you due?

When I was pregnant with my daughter I took Zofran because I had "morning" sickness ALL DAY FOR 9 MONTHS!!!  She is a happy, healthy 2 year old now!

I took Zofran for a short time between week 9-10.  I was really sick and couldnt keep anything down.  I didnt want to take to much so I only took a few pills.  It seemed to curb the urge to vomit, but I didnt still tthrow up...just not as much.  Oh I am also due on Monday and so far everything seems fine with the baby!
