boy or girl

so the hospital where I live here is not allowed to tell me the sex of the baby, due to many mistakes, anyways, i live in a smaller town and everyone has there own theory as to hw the baby sits, what it will be, how sick you are what it will be, what are some of the old tales you guys have heard of, everyone I have heard till this point , says its a boy, but i have this feeling it is a girl,

I have heard that when the heart rate is on the lower side like 135-145 it's probably a boy. And for a girl anything over 150. I also heard that if you are really sick it's a boy and not so sick it's a girl.  Now my mom had 2 boys and 2 girls and those predictions worked for her! lol. If i were to go by that I am having a boy I guess...but I have no clue. I will find out when this little one comes in april. =)

hi well in most of my friends and me, i had cravings for sweet things and i had a girls my friend had thing for savory things she had a boy, you are supposed to carry all front for a girl and all round for a boy, however some carry the same, the heart beat is normally the best way o tell boys are 120-130 girls are 140 or more, although with my girl she had a slow heart beat in labour so ???? keep guessing cravings seem good way to tell though, let me know what your craving ..

Have you try the chinese prediction chart, you can find them online. It worked for my son.

also have you looked into the 3D u/s, they are a little on the high end to get done,but they are great

sorry hun, but all of this is just a guess, the only way to tell is by u/s. sure with a 50/50 chance these things can guess right. i done it with my  first boy and they all said it was suppose to be a girl, lol

yeah, the closest place for the 3d u/s is 2 hours away and 200 bucks to do so ill wait and have a suprise, i am craving everything, pepperoni sticks recently, but before tha banana bread and chocolate lol.

The heartrate thing isn't accurate since it can be high or low depending on what the baby is doing. When mine is resting its at about 130 and when she's active and squirming its about 160. As for the chinese chart that didn't work for me since it says I'm supposed to have a boy. Cravings I just want mac and cheese and spicy food and I can't stand sweets. Everyone says I'm carrying a boy since I'm all baby and only have her like a little basketball in front. Honestly everything could be 50-50 the only thing to do is get u/s or wait it out.

My sister-n-law AND my sister both had 3 ultrasounds a piece that said they were have GIRLS... Lots and lots and lots of girl stuff later... They both had BOYS!

I've had about 3 ultrasounds and all of them have those very obvious 3 lines and no penis like appendage sticking out. I'm pretty confident its a girl.

i heard that boys are carried high and girls are carried lower..i've noticed that. when i was prego with my son my tummy looked more like a basketball..and now i am prego with a girl and i look smaller and my tummy doesnt stick out as much..also when i was prego with my son i had no sickness what so ever..i never threw up..and now that i am prego with a girl i had so much sickness..i couldnt eat anything!!! not even meat...no matter what it was..everything just made me sick..
so i guess really you cant go on these things.
cause i see for some people it was different.
and also when i was in the hospital the beginning of this pregnancy the dr's and nurses were saying that it was going to be a boy because the baby was so active..and moved so much...haha..i think it was like 8 of them that told me that..and it ended up being a girl!!!

The chinese prediction chart was sooo wrong with me. It said I was having a boy with my first and I had a girl. This time it says girl so I am hoping for a boy!  I had this feeling all along I was having a girl and I was right. Everyone said it looked like I was having a boy, but they were all wrong.  I wasn't sick at all with my daughter and I had no acne and my hair was always perfect.  Nothing with her but a perfect pregnancy.  This time around I have been sick, have acne (well I break out a lot more than before. Almost like I was a teenager again.) and before I knew I was preggo I had this really hard time with my hair being SUPER oily and nothing helped. So I think and feel almost like I am having a boy. I find out on Monday. But yeah I really don't believe any of that stuff unless it just happens to be true. The really only true way is an ultrasound unfortunetly for you.

Nothing can really tell for certain, as you can tell from what everyone else said. I've heard if it's carrying high up, it's a girl, low down it's a boy. but I don't see how this would matter! there are so many myths out there because people just want to know. But it's too hard to tell, even when you're staring right at it, unless you have a clear clear u/s shot. Other than that, sorry ! just keep guessing, it might be fun. =] I hope you get what you're wanting.

I'm not saying you're wrong, but I heard just the opposite as you did! I realize that second pregnancies seem to not show as fully as first, maybe that's why the "full shape" or "basketball" theory partly comes from.

everyone has always told me to look at the father.  If he has had more of one sex than the other then that one particular sex will dominate.  Who knows.  It has worked in my husbands family.  There are 3 boy sons, 6 boy grandsons, and another boy on the way by my brother in law!!!  GIRLS WE'RE OUT NUMBERED!!!

What the u/s techs have told me is that usually, but not always, boys have a heartrate between 120 and 140.  Girls are higher at 140 to 160.  However, last year when I was carrying a boy, his heartrate was about 150 the whole time....so who is to say for sure.   And that chinese chart was wrong with him and with the girl I am carrying now.  But it was right about my sister in law.   so it is like anything else,....right about half the time.

I am on pregnancy number 4 with two living children, both boys...and I had NO sickness with them!  I had no sickness last time either, but never found out the sex because I was only 2 & 1/2 months when I had missed mc.  There is a product that you can buy...(let me go get my magazine)...Ok it's called intelligender.  their website is www.intelligender.com  and it says after 10 weeks (8 weeks after conception) you can start testing with urine with results in as little as 10 minutes that are 90% accurate.  this is an ad in my Pregnancy and Newborn magazine.  It is $29.95.  I would try it now if I were far enough along!  Hopefully that might work for you!
