you need to contact your local Le Leche  Leaque and talk to a lactation specialist to see how you can re-establish your milk supply. They should be in the phone book...if not google them and go to their website.

Can you manually express your milk?  It's a lot of work but if you are unable to get a pump until Friday then at least it's a start.  I would keep feeding her off your breast even if she's eating every 1/2 hour.  It will build your supply back up.

yes i can manually express. The whole supply on demand thing, does that mean when she's sucking im produceing?

i would continue breast feeding her there is a good possibility she is getting more than enough and she is just using you for a human pacifier my daughter did the same thing and i thought she just wan't getting enough because she wanted to be latched on all the time then the dr told me she probably just wanted something to suck on and wasn't really hungry try giving a pacifier and see if that helps and as far as the constipation is concerned just keep the breast feeding adn she should go back to normal.

Yes, as long as she's latched on properly and drinking the milk then your body will automatically produce more.  My son would do the same as mary said.  He would always fall asleep on my breast and use me as a human pacifier.  What I would do is give him the bobo but typically newborns don't get as filled from the breastmilk as they would formula and do nurse more frequently.  My son was very demanding and was on my breast every hour.  He would also drink an hour at a time.  It was a little too much for me to handle so I supplimented with formula.  The problem with that is that he eventually weaned himself from my breast at 2 months since my supply had diminished and he got more from the bottle.  I wish I had just given him my breast solely but it worked out for the best because he was off my breast once I went back to work.  Just keep giving her your breast to build up your supply....it will get easier and eventually she won't need it as frequently.  Babies at her age always feed on demand anyway, they are too small for a set schedule.  Good luck.
