brown spotting AGAIN at 10 weeks?

by ziggysgrl0724, Feb 22, 2008 04:13PM
OK ladies, so as some of you may know i had a lot of brown spotting for like almost 2 weeks in the beg. of my pregnancy and it basically stopped at 6 1/2 weeks......well, i just went to the bathroom and it was back,....I have had 2 normal ultrasound, one at 6 weeks and one at 8 that showed a baby and a heartbeat....the baby at 8 weeks was normal and moving and everything...after that ultrasound my dr told me that she felt confident that my pregnancy would continue..and so did I....has anyone else experienced this? could it be that this is just normal for me?  should I go to an er? I went twice in the beginning of my pregnancy.......UGH! any help would be great!

I bled for 5 weeks bright red worse than a period during my pregnancy and had everything continue in a normal manner. When you got your ultrasound did they give you a reason for the bleeding? Or if you bd last night that can cause spotting as well.

Sometimes spotting can not be explained. I had it for one day right before I turned 12wks. I went to the ER, because I had already had a mc that had tons of spotting/bleeding so I was absolutely terrifed. Anyway they said they could see the bleeding but did not know where it was coming from. So they put me on bedrest for a week. After we left the ER, my spotting had almost ended immediatly. I still stayed home for that week, with my legs propped up and drank lots of water. I am now 23wks and the spotting never came back (knock on wood). I would just inform your doctor and try to take it easy.

I am sure that if it stopped once already by itself then it probably will again. I wish you the best and I know your little bean will stay right were it is!!!

Keep us posted!!

I had some brown/purple spotting this morning at 20 weeks and was freaking out. I had two miscarriages last spring and have a blood issue I take baby aspirin for. They told me to come in and have an u/s to check on things. Everything was fine. I was told that the cervix is really vascular and it could have been many different things - one being intercourse (which didn't happen). I did  have blood in my urine, but the spotting stopped pretty quick and I haven't seen anything since. They said to take it easy over the weekend, no intercourse for a few days. I have a regularly scheduled appt on Tues and the dr will check my cervix at that point. So in the meantime - I'll spend as much time as I can sitting still.  Good luck.
