brown spotting

by libberella, Jan 29, 2008 03:05PM
I am 28 years old and this is my first pregnancy.  I am 6 weeks and 2 days.  I have had off and on brown spotting for the past couple of days.  I called my doctor and the nurse said their is nothing they can do for me until I am seen at 8 weeks.  I am worried because I have had on going light cramping since I found out I was pregnant and now to see brown blood it concerns me. Yesterday I had no spotting what so ever, and then this morning I was spotting brown in a thin pad and it is noticible when I wipe as well.  Is this normal?

Some spotting can be normal, but you should really be checked by a doctor just to be sure.  I would think since you are spotting they would work you in sooner.  Will they let you speak with a nurse?  Have you thought of trying to see a different OB if you can't get in with this one?
