He may just be slowing down his intake. There were times when my son did that and then he would hit a growth spurt and he would want to keep eating a ton again. Formula fed babies can go longer then breastfed babies. They tend to stay fuller longer. As long as he's pooping and urinating he should be fine. You want to feed on demand so if he's not hungry and he's still gaining weight then it is fine.
well we just went to the doctor this week so all of this is new for him,.. I was breastfeedingBreast-feeding tips Breastfeeding Breastfeeding - resources every 2 hrs sometimes sooner than that.. now.. we dont really have a schedule.. he seems to not eat as much on the formula... it just doesnt seem like he is getting enough to eat in his feedings.
Baby's know when they are hungry. Formula is a lot thicker then breastmilk. At 4 weeks they are capable of going longer periods of time in between meals. Trust me, he will wake when he wants to eat. My son could go about 2-3 hours between meals on formula and by 6 weeks he would sleep through the night at a 5 hour stretch. So I wouldn't worry about it too much. Follow his lead.
(like 4 hours and eating 2oz). I think its just because its all new to them. Give him awhile(week) and Im sure he will want to eat more and more offend. After about a week, week in an half he was up too 3-4oz every 3hours!
