can i be pregnant?

hi i just looking for a bit of advice .... i have been on the pill for over a year now and it has been working ... however i have been on holiday and got back about a month ago.  while i was away i missed 3 of my pills and have read if you miss 3 or more your not protected anymore ... i missed these pills at the end of my holiday and still had unprotected sex with my boyfriend.  im now a little worried that i may be pregnant.. however the week i got back i did a pregnacy test and it came back negative.  but since then i have been getting quite alot of distarge which is a creamy colour and can be quite strechy. im not due to start my period untill next week however i have stopped my pill now and wondered if that could be why i feel like this.  however since ive been back for my holiday im costantly eating but eating rubbish food i dont feel like eating healthy i always want chocolate. i feel like im puttingon weight but im not sure whether that is just in my head or not. today ive just started getting random cramps in my stomach.... any advice on whether they think i could be pregnant and whether i should take another test or wait to see if my period comes?  any advice would be greatly appreciated

If the pill is taken correctly it is about 99% effective, if it isnt taken correctly (missing just one pill) then it can be rendered completely ineffective.

A pregnancy test can be taken about 2 weeks after conception.  If you arent sure when that would be (likely the time you missed the pills) then it would be best to wait until your period is due and test then.  If its negative, retest a week later or see your doctor for blood work.

thank you for the reply.  my **** wasnt really taken very correctly it was taken as i remembered it then i missed 1 remembered then missed another 2.  i dont suppose you have any idea whether anythnig ive mentioned could actually relate to pregnacy?  do you think it is best to wait to see if my period comes next week or take a test this weekend.  also ive been having quite bad cramps today since i posted the first one but no period has come and ive been quite heavy with discharge.... im actually starting to worry a little now
