I know a girl who got pregnant while taking Depo. It's going to be different for every woman. But a normal, healthy woman can take up to a year to conceive. Your best chances of conceiving would be to monitor your fertility (WE CAN HELP HERE!!!).

I got pregnant with my 2nd daughter on the first try because I was monitoring my fertility. But again, it can take up to a year. You have a 25% chance of conception every cycle.

Hello everyone? I have been on the depo shot for about 9 months. I decided to take this birth control method when I received my orders to deploy to afghanistan. I knew that having cramps and menstrual cycle would only slow me down or distract me from my mission. Now I am back at my Garrison unit. My last shot was during the month of February 2008 and it is now December 2, 2008. I am currently on my menstrual cycle. So, I would say it's been 8-9 months and I finally have a period. I know how you feel and it is depressing inside. I am going to keep trying the natural way, because using stuff that the doctor gives you is not always the answer.

i took the shot 1 time an didn't have a period for 10 months.  i started taking vitex an my period started with in a week.  i got by bfp within 3 months.  Vitex is safe an over the counter.  An its cheap.  Try it!  It will make you ovulate better.  I hate that depo shot... it has to many side effects.  Anita

I took depo provera for 8 years. I had a miscarraige within just a few months of coming off the depo and then didn't conceive again until about a year after that. I then miscarried again at about 12 weeks, but then had one period and found out I was preggers again. I am now 34 weeks and 3 days pregnant. It took about a year after coming off the shot for my cycles to even out and become "normal" again. I used fertility friend ******* to track my cycles at first and then when they became regular I used it to track my fertiltiy to become pregnant. It took me almost 2 years to get and stay pregnant. Not saying that the depo increased my chances of miscarraige, but I think it was a factor.

I took the shot for 3 years and it took me a year and 2 months after stopping to get pregnant

It definately depends on the person. A co-worker of mine got pregnant while using the depot. She used it regularly and this is the second time she got pregnant on it. It's different for everyone, but I've heard from other people that it can take up to a year to get pregnant.

Hi, I only had one injection and my period didn't return until 12 months later. It took about 2 years after that to conceive my daughter, who will be turning 6 this Christmas. :)
