difference in CM

Is there a difference between textbook EWCM and just plain stretchy, clear CM? 2 days before ovulation I get textbook EWCM. But I usually ovulate on day 19. and a week before that I have regular clearish white stretchy cm strings. Is this fertile mucus that will keep sperm alive up to a week before ovulation?

you could be ovualting early, i am like that one month i ovualte early then the next a little later, when you have the EWCM that means you are ovualting. i have grown so tired of charting and checking cervix and what not this month i am just having sex almost every other day and just see what happens. just remember when you have the EWCM thats the time to have sex...i dont but do you use ovulation test kits? i know i probably should as i dont ovulate the same day every month.

Well I also think that you could be ovulating much earlier then expected but if not there is a possiblity of the sperm staying alive in that time of mucos.  You never know. If you are trying, I say you need to BD everyday. I sometimes get EWCM and sometimes I don't.  This month I haven't gotten anything yet except the whitish one.... and I am suppose to be ovulating tomorrow.
