dropping and rising hcg levels

I hope someone can shed some light on my situation as I am going out of my mind with worry. I had 2 miscarriages in 2007.  I found out I was pregnant on Feb 25th. On  feb 27th my dr checked my hcg level and it was 17. On March 5th it was 450, March 10th it had dropped to 340 and today 13th March I was told it had risen to 390. I've been told that as I'm 5 or 6 weeks now and the HCG levels indicate that this cannot be a viable pregnancy. I have been bleeding,not heavily but constantly for the past week and they cannot see anything on ultrasoud,not even an eptopic pregnancy. Is there any hope at all that this could turn into a normal pregnancy. Has anyone ever experienced what I have and had a good outcome?

I'm going through the same thing right now , I have an IUD in place and went in for disfuctional uterine bleeding and found out that I'm pregnant
first hcg 77, 2nd 131, 3rd 93!?! Nurse say not viable , sonographer says it will go up . My dr wont be back till monday 6/30, currently bleeding and very frustrated! What was your out come? I just would like an answer!

this happened to me in late march. my levels were very low and when they would rise they didnt go up much. Later turned out to be an ectopic preg.

but i had very strong syptoms (symptoms) of an ectopic. my bleeding wasnt very heavy at all, sometimes it would even go away from a few hours.i had horrible pains in my right side ( lower stomach) it almost felt like someone was stabbing me in my ovary. and my right shoulder would hurt really badly. Also, i had 4 sonograms and NONE of them detected my ectopic.

I was going to have a laparscopy(sp) done, but due to the bedside manners of my doc. i didnt go through with it. THANK GOD. Then i was going to have the shot called methotrexate(sp) to treat it, but my body took care of it itself. but you should def. have your doc. keep an eye on it. sometimes ectopic's can be life threatening. I hope that you get everything taken care of. I know how stressful and scary this situation is.

you should do some research on ectopic's. you will understand it all soo much better :) good luck with everything.
