to my doctor today.  I told him i was having some itching and I was worried i had a yeast infection.   He either said get some vagasil or monastat....I dont remember which one.  What have you other pregnant ladies been told to use?  Vagisil wont take care of a yeast infection will it?

I thought I might have an infection too. And the doc noticed recommended I ****** with yogurt!! Isn't that crazy?!

Well... I tried it and it did make things a lot better down there. It was so funny but I guess there's a natural bacteria in yogurt that is produced in that area so douching with yogurt helps to restore everything back to normal. WEIRD

yeah i have heard this too...lol.  Think i'll just buy some monistat.  I'm worried though I havent ever had to do that before...I dont want to hurt the baby.  :(

I know that you can use monistat, but I am suprised that your doctor didnt perscribe something like Diflucan. I had a yeast infection and that is what my doctor prescribed. It worked super fast. I am not completely farmiliar with what Vagisil is...

You should confirm with your Dr, dont assume.  I took something I "thought" was ok adn know im very worried... Take care!

I was told at my app last week that diflucan isnt ok in early preg. (im 12w3d)

Monistat will work fine. and also eat yogurt. not only does D******* with it work, but eating it regularly seems to regulate healthy bacteria in your body. it's always worked for me. By the way, if you D**** with it, make sure it's PLAIN UNFLAVORED yogurt!

Diflucan is NOT okay during pregnancy and any OB would know not to prescribe that to a pregnant person. So, make sure that you do not take that. Monistat is okay to use while being pregnant! I have already gone over this with my doctor because i get chronic yeast infections

i read that oral meds are not safe during pregnancy for yeast infections and I also read that azole creams are safer than others...

my doc prescribed terconzaole cream for it ,and it worked really fast too. i only put it on the outside though and it went away.
