had my tubes clampted and now off can i get pregnant

hi i had my clamps taking off cause i was having a lot of pains but before that my clamps were on for 3 years is there anyway i can get pregnant the dr told me not to worrie but i still think for some reason that i can cause i here of people getting pregnant liek 8 years later after having there tubes clampted

Its hard to comment without knowing your medical history.  If you are concerned, you can seek a 2nd opinion from another doctor and ask about alternative forms of birth control that you can use if there is a potentially risk.

Also you could consider using the IUD which can be placed in for up to 5 years and also can be removed at anytime that you are ready. My girlfriend is currently using it and hasn't had any problems.

If the tubes open up and are clear I don't see why you couldn't get pregnant.

no im not trying to get pregnant when i went and seen the dr and asked him about going  on the pill or something else he told me there is no need to he said after your tubes are clampted for so long they seal shut so im hoping they are but i always have that litle tought in the back of my head thought how do they become pregnant like 8 years later and stuff like that with there tubes clampted cause i never had mine tied or cut or burned they were only clampted

Well, I am sure there is a possibility. My mother had her tubes tied.....and suprisingly.....they came undone. The only reason she knew is because she fell pregnant!

did she have her tubes clampted cause they say if your tubes are clampted supposly that they dry up and seal so i am hoping that it is true cause i dont need a 3 child right now in my life really lol my house isnt big enought
