hair

For those of you who have been lucky enough to get that nice hair on your belly, does it go away after the birth of the baby or do we get stuck with having to either shave or wax it for the rest of our lives? It wouldn't be so bad if it wouldn't be so dark or so long but people in my family ask to see my belly I warn them of the hair first. I knew that you get a dark line on your belly just not this much hair.

well, you can trim it. i do have some crazy hair on my belly n' i do warn the drs before they chek in. (i nver been preg) i think its related to some hormornal change in our body, well, i dont shave or wax, but i trim it a little bit. if u trim on the other sides where u can see few hairs, it could grw more!!!.

It's just starting to drive me nuts but im afraid that it will keep coming back worse. I won't touch it if it will go away sometime after I deliever but if its going to become permanant then I will take care of it now.

I've always had that regardless of if I'm pregnant or not. I just shave it.

LOL I am so glad you put this question up. I was starting to think that I am the only one with the belly of a monkey. I can say from experience that yes it does go away after the baby is born. I had to break down and wax OUCH I think maybe the buffing thing would be less painful.

I am very fair complected.  I too have the dark line & white hairs on my belly.  The hair lessened a lot after the birth of my first daughter.  Now I am 33 weeks pregnant & have the hair again.  Especially around my belly button (it gets really long! like a long armhair!)

It is just hormones & will prob go away or lessen with time.  mine did.  My husband just laughs.

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one as well!! lol I get peach fuzz when I'm preggo, but it usually goes away after I give birth, BUT I always have these crazy hairs that grow around my belly button. I usually just shave it like once a week or so. It's annoying, but I don't know what to do about it!
