has anyone used Contraceptive Foam for non hormonal BC

I'm curious to see if there are any women who've used ONLY the contraceptive foam (VCF) to prevent pregnancy and I want to know if it worked.

If it didn't do you know why?

I just asked because DH and I switched to it recently. The last time we used it it worked for 3 or 4 months and then we chose to have baby #2. I'm not ready for a #3 mentally or physically and neither is hubby. I KNOW there are failure rates with every form of birth control hormonal or non hormonal. But I am not going hormonal at hubby's request (he doesn't want my libido to drop as it normally would w/BCP lol) Plus I gain weight on any bcp method... between 15 andf 50 lbs!

I don't like the IUD methods because no one can say for sure that it completely prevents an egg from being fertilized. in my opinion if it's fertilized it's a baby, a life and if the IUD prevents it from implanting it's abortion... JUST my Opinion.

and condoms are another method we use but we switched to the foam and will use both foam and condoms during the 1 1/2w that i'm normally fertile.
