health choice - hyperemisis

health choice - hyperemisis

I'm am truly depressed ...I don't know how I am going to get through this . I suffer from hyperemisis with my first born. I was young (21) . Now I'm 30 was expecting a second born. I was so excited. But my sickness got so severe. I began to have issues with my heart. On top of that my diabetes. I could barely keep anything down. I was constantly at the hospital. Until Monday morning , when I was on my way to work and fainted due to my health issues. When i was taken to hospital. The ultrasound showed no signs of a heartbeat. Doctors said it was a missed miscarriage. Has this happened to anyone ? I'm at a lose for words , I feel due to this hyperemisis I could never experience a good pregnancy  :(

I am so sorry for your loss. But you shouldn't give up... I don't have hyperemisis but I believe you shouldn't give up.
I have had 3 missed miscarriages... and I am now 36 weeks.
I know how you feel.. I am so sorry.
Just keep trying... (: and keep your head up. Everything happens for a reason.
<3 you will be in my prayers.

I too have had several miscarriages and they are awful to go through but when you feel down just go hug the beautiful child you already have. My son was a huge help to get me through mine.

I had extreme nausea and vomiting with my son and the medicine my dr gave me made my skin crawl and vision go blurry which I thought was worse than just throwing up. Now that I am pregnant again (30weeks) I had it again and my dr gave me zofran because I was losing so much weight again and had no energy. My day was spent literally in front of the toilet or with my head in a bucket somewhere. Even to drive I had to carry a bucket in my lap :/ the zofran was wonderful and I still continue to use it. Although even without the nausea and vomiting pregnancy in general is not easy to enjoy and every pregnancy is different. My pregnancy with my son was super easy. Well aside from the getting sick. This one has been hell. Some kind of pain or bleeding or something to worry about.

I would not get disheartened just yet. Let your mind and body recover and try again when you are ready. Like I said every pregnancy is different and when hyperemesis kicks in ask for zofran or something like it. You may also want to speak with your dr about ways to keep your other health issues under control with diet/exercise so that your chances of another healthy pregnancy will be higher if possible.

I too have hyperemisis, have had it with all 4 of my pregnancies.. to the point where zophran wasn't cutting it, I had to get a pic line in my chest and go in for fluids every day for almost 5 months. Its yucky but its the small things that make pregnancy not terrible ..

I'm so sorry for your loss however according to my ob, hyperemisis doesn't cause a miscarriage.  I've asked since I've miscarried 3 times. Try not to get discouraged. I would ask your ob about nausea meds. Zophran is really good and after a certain point in my pregnancies it took the edge off and let me enjoy being pregnant.   I wish you the best of luck.

I'm the same, bad pregnancy. With being in pain up to 20 weeks I was crying everyday and my partner didn't seem to understand. Look at it this way you have a child and was all the problems worth it?. As long as my baby is fine I will put up with a million pains and needles because I know as soon as that child is in my arms I will forget everything else. You know you can do it just some moms have to work harder for there miracle than others
