about 6 inchs away at the same level of noise not faded at all. i am 26 weeks pregnant and am worried i am gonna have a huge baby as i havent smoked with this one and i am bigger with this one that any of my others. i have never picked up the babys heartbeat
in two dfferent places before i didnt think my doppler was that good and i have had that one with 2 other pregnancys. I am worried that i will have problems giving birth to a really big baby as i have only ever had small babies. this is my 7th baby. btw i have had scans and it shows only one baby in there. but i do get asked a lot if i am carrying twins
your bump will get bigger through the pregnancies, although your baby may still be about the same size. if all your babies are about the same size, although you have smoked your pervious pregnancies, there should be no reason to deliver an abnormal size baby. it may have been the positioning of the baby. i would not panic. at your ultrasound you can ask if baby is measuring normal length and weight. the last few weeks baby does not grow much, he'll really only build up fat under the skin. try not to worry about it :) unless doctors say otherwise, you should be fine
Your babys heartbeat will be stronger and easier to detect with a Doppler as the pregnancy progress - all very normal and no indication of size of baby.
When you have your gestational diabetes screening that will give some indication as to whether everything is on track (if Mom develops GD baby will often be bigger than normal). Also, has your dr been tracking your fundal measurements? That also gives a rough idea of size/growth of baby.
Hey there, the way these dopplers work, is very simple it only bounces sound back and the fact that you moved the doppler and heard the babies heartbeat at two different points wouldn't necessarily mean that the baby will be enormous :) It may just have been the way the baby is lying in there, the doppler will pick up the babies heartbeat really well through it's back and through it's chest, I wouldn't worry too much about it, also If the baby is going to be bigger than your others your doctor willl most likely mention it to you, if they don't ask them and tell them your worry, If they think you will have problems they will suggest an alternative. All the best to you and I hope that your pregnancy is wonderful as well as the birth! :)
thanks for the advice..i am due to have a private scan on the 10th december. See it doesnt help as everyone keeps asking me if i am carrying two..everyone comments on the size of my belly...and it is bigger than any of my other bumps! this is why i think hes gonna be a big boy. :P i aint worried too much as yet...he he he he but i am just used to having 6lb- 7lb babys...my biggest being 7lb 5and a half.....also its just that my doppler has never worked that good. i had it with my last 2 pregnancys and it never did that before! so i thought it was a little odd he he he he
you just gonna have a big healthy baby just like me because my daughter is already measuring big at 24 weeks..long as the baby is heakthy is what matters...
