help! are there any cool maternity jeans???

help! are there any cool maternity jeans???

girls, i love to wear cool, yet comfortable jeans!  my before pregnancy jeans are all getting too tight!  i am only in my 11th week, so maternity jeans are still too big.  however, i have tried many on and they look horrible!  they make my butt look weird and they are all too short (i usually wear long jeans which i haven't found in maternity stores yet).  are there any cool brands or places that i can find jeans that don't look so dorky?  i have been told to look online, but i hate not trying things on...however, at this point, it may be my only option!

motherhood is my suggestion too...i really like their clothes and their prices....the one thing to keep in mind is you wont be wearing maternity clothes longer than a year so spending a lot of money on the clothes to me just isnt worth it

i did try on a few pairs at that store...there were so many different styles so perhaps i didn't give it enough time.  however that is the place where they were all really short on me :-(

you are right, their prices are good!  right now i am just wearing sweat pants.  i went and bought a bunch of velour ones so that i have "nice sweat pants."  hehe.  i just really miss jeans.  fortunately i will be at my biggest over the summer so i can just wear big dresses!

Motherhood has some really good jeans...I am very tall so it's always hard to find the right pair. I just went to Baby Gap on sat....oh my goodness do they have cute pants!! I of course went to the sale rack and they had some really cute ones...every size but mine! lol. I just didn't feel like paying 50 bucks right then and there, but I may go back. =) I understand how you feel about shopping online and not being able to try them on...When it comes to jeans for me, I have to be able to try them on.

yes baby gap! Someone at motherhood told me they have the most comfortable jeans...you will pay more, but it might be worth it. I actually have 2 pairs from motherhood...one pair is too short! lol and the other, get this, is too long! How tall are you krissy?

Have you tried Old Navy? They also have maternity clothes that may be more trendy...

I agree with kele1129, Old Navy has some really cute stuff. Most of my maternity clothes come from Old Navy and surprisingly Target has some cute jeans and pants. Also, if you're looking for some more trendy styles that can be dressed up and down, I found some luck at Ann Taylor Loft. Not all of the stores have the maternity section right now but I know online they do and I have found some nice things that I can use as casual as well as dressy.

If you like low rise, OLD Navy has some cute ones.  Also Baby Styles but it's kind of high.  I like Target jeans but I am only 12 weeks and can't fit into maternity pants yet.  What about bigger jeans with belly band?

I haven't read all of the responses but I LOVE Liz Lange I believe it is.  Well, it's something like that.  They have these at Target.  They are super cute and you can wear them the entire time and they are great for after you have the baby.  No one can tell that they are maternity jeans unless they lift your shirt. LOL!  They don't have the big maternity pocket in the front.  They just have this really wide elastic band all the way around.  I love mine!!!

I bought "Citizens of Humanity" maternity jeans and I really like them. They are kind of expensive, but comfortable. A Pea in a Pod stores sell them.

There is a way to continue to wear your pre-pregnancy jeans. Motherhood Maternity has a belly band. I think that's what it's called. It goes around your waist and belly and supports your pants. You just leave them unbuttoned. You can't even tell they are unbuttoned. If you wear maternity shirts, they are long enough to cover the band or it just looks like layering under your own T's. They come in different basic colors too I think. This might be an option if you want to save money or can't find the right maternity jean. Good luck!

I have not found one maternity pants that fit me...it's still so looose, I think I have to weight till I get a lil bigger to fit in them...i wear my regular jeans and a maternity band over it, or just some real comfortable stretchy yoga pants.  I bought the smallest maternity pants and it'll just fall right off...I've tried motherhood...target...liz claiborne...nothin...=(

a pea in the pod has the best maternity clothes.  most maternity stores ive been to, their jeans look frumpy and ugly.  but a pea in the pod has GREAT stuff.  go to their website and check it out i highly recommend their clothes!

Old Navy has longer jeans. ;-)

Motherhood Maternity has such a large selection. The sales women there are supposed to help you with trying on clothes, so ask them if they have longer jeans. I'm a shorty so I usually have the opposite issue.

I bought some maternity clothes on EBAY before. Maybe you could try that?

On another post someone mentioned Liz Lange's maternity clothes at Target. Decent prices and clothes that LAST (Motherhood Maternity tops are not made well, but their jeans hold up). I do NOT recommend Liz Lange's bras, though, if you are a bigger girl!

the best and most affordable maternity clothes are target and old navy. They have great jeans. I am short but very picky about how my jeans fit over my shoes. so I like them long. I def. recommend one of the two. and old navy always has really cute styles on sale. I just went yesterday to target and old navy and got a few things. I already cant button my jeans. good luck!

I had the same problem, and the only place I found jeans that didn't look funny on me were from the Baby/Maternity Gap.  You do spend an arm and a leg, but they really look great.  I'm also at 11 weeks and am currently not fitting in my jeans or work slacks anymore.  However, I do have a pair of jeans that I'm still able to wear thanks to the "rubberband" trick.  I read this somewhere and it does work to give you an extra inch in your waistline.  You just take a small hairband (rubberband) and put it around your jeans button, loop the other end through the button hole, and then loop it back around the button again.  As long as your shirt covers it and your zipper stays where it's supposed to, this trick will get you at least another week or so out of those jeans!!

Ditto on the Old Navy! They have the cutest Maternity wear! Their Jeans are stylish and they have options...long, short, flair etc...and the prices are reasonable. Actually right now their having a 25% off sale on all Maternity wear! Sales ends on the 21st-you should check out the website-some pretty cute stuff!

One of my best friends never grew out of her Jeans until she was in her 9th month! And she was a Size 1! So her last month she wore a Size 3 and was like ohhh I'm so fat! I just looked at her and laughed!

girls--i checked the site for old navy and the clothes are really cute and affordable.  thanks for that suggestion!  do they sell the maternity clothes in the store or do you have to buy them online??

wendy-i am definitely going to try the ruberband trick!  thanks!

chantal-there are many pros to having height, but finding jeans that are long enough (and don't shrink up in the laundry) is definitely the down side!

I used to wear Long and Lean jeans from the Gap before my pregnancy and loved them :) Then at about 8 or 9 weeks, my jeans got too tight. I found Long and Lean maternity jeans and wore them until month 7 or so when I just got too fat for them. I wore them for months after I had my son...they're the best!

They're a little expensive, but SOOOO worth the price! They come in short, regular, and tall. I'm 5'7" and wore the regular length (they almost dragged the grown..just like I like them :) I'm not "long and lean" at all by the way...my jeans were a size 12 or 14 I think. They don't have the big elastic panel either..just the 3-4 inch band.

They were the best things ever :)

thanks, i will check them out.  i was long and lean before pregnancy, but i don't feel so long and lean these days so maybe the jeans will help!!  hehe!!  i don't mind paying extra for a good pair of jeans.  i just want one or two pair.  i will be at my biggest over the summer and probably won't wear jeans that often.  thanks again girls for the suggestions!

so i love jeans. and wanted to wear them during pregnancy. i found some at motherhood maternity and the only ones i thought looked cute on me were $96. i got like two pair. around week 20....I COULNT WEAR THEM ANYMORE!!! i was so angry. such expensive jeans and the band was two tight. i cut it a little to make them looser and even then it was too tight even around the crotch. i gave up and just wound up wearing my pre-pregnancy bebe sweat pants. the most cumfy.  i found the expensive jeans from motherhood maternity A WASTE! hopefully you do better than me

I'm not sure if Old Navy sells them in the store. Where I used to live I never saw them just baby stuff. But now where I live we don't have one around so I can't check. So it might even just be an online thing...but the shipping is only $5 which is not bad.
But they do have the cutest stuff!!

Do you ladies ever think about the months you want to be Pregnant or the months you don't want to be? I was thinking about that the other day...like I would love to wear cute Maternity wear during the spring and summer...but not so much during the winter months...is it weird to plan a pregnancy around that??
