hernia that's bloating my stomach

My doctor told me I have four hernias.And if i go through with surgery it's a chance I may not make it.Is that true?I've had 2 c sections in the past and I have seven kids.What could have caused this?

During my 3rd pregnancy I noticed my umbilicle hernia. The stomach muscles just get laxed, especaily after having so many kids. Some doctors beleive that we were born with a small opening that just gives after time. Other than that im not sure of the causes. Talk with a surgen, hernia repair surgery is pretty common. I had my surgery 7 weeks after the birth of my 3rd child and got pregnant 4 weeks later. I am currently 27 weeks pregnant and everything is fine. My scar hurts some but thats becasue my tummy is already huge from this pregnancy and the scar is streched.
