hormone levels at 7 wks. pregnant

found out on jan. 3, 2008 that I was pregnant. (last period on nov. 28, 2007). hormone levels were at 2,500 in bloodwork. jan. 11, 2008, hormone levels were expected to be around 10,000....test done again with levels at 21,000. does this mean twins OR possibily further along? (due date sept. 4, 2008)

Well my doc told me not to go by HCG levels, because they can range so differently depending on the person,  you need to get an ultrasound to make sure!, GOOD LUCK to you!!

You sound like you are right in the range. But every women is different. The most important thing about HCG levels is that they continue to double every 2-3 days.

3 weeks LMP 5 - 50 mIU/ml
4 weeks LMP 5 - 426 mIU/ml
5 weeks LMP 18 - 7,340 mIU/ml  
6 weeks LMP 1,080 - 56,500 mIU/ml  
7 - 8 weeks LMP 7, 650 - 229,000 mIU/ml  
9 - 12 weeks LMP 25,700 - 288,000 mIU/ml  
13 - 16 weeks LMP 13,300 - 254,000 mIU/ml  
17 - 24 weeks LMP 4,060 - 165,400 mIU/ml  
25 - 40 weeks LMP 3,640 - 117,000 mIU/ml
