so i took three at home test that were all diffrent brands, the first three came out poistive with faint lines, within the time limit, then i went to the health department theirs came out neg, so i had a blood test and im waiting for the results, how much more accurate are blood test?
Well, it depends on whether you had a quantitative blood test that will tell you the EXACT amount of the pregnancy hormone or a qualitative blood test that would just tell you yes or no...IF you had the quantitative blood test, the numbers/levels are really precise and accurate and will give you a pretty much definite answer HOWEVER I've heard of women who did not get a quantitative test who were told no-not pregnant but ended up being pregnant (just too early). I hope I didn't make this more confusing than it needed to be...hope it helped...I'd be inclined to say that if you got three pos. hpts then you are most likely pregnant.
well the positive lines were faint, you could see them obviously, they were clear to the eye. what im so confused about is the two negatives i got today? the one the doc did and then the first response i did when i got home showed neg, UUUUUGGGGHHHH I just really am anxious to know... thanks for the help.
i just had the same thing happen. i got two bfp. they where light also but clearly there then today i took a first reponse and it was barely there. so maybe the frer is the problem! they say they are the best at detecting the lowest amount of hormone but im starting to think otherwise
Blood tests are the most accurate because they can tell whether or not you have any hcg in your system. The thing that might be happening (cross my fingers
and the majority of those are before they even knew they were pregnant. The thing that sucks about tests in this day and age is that they are so sensitive that they can pick it up sooner.
OMG! i have this same dilemma....for almost 4 weeks now i have had pg symptoms out the wahzoo...2 bfp's, went to health dep. negative, blood test 4.93 meaning it was negative as well. this was march 28th-april 1st and have been having symptoms since mid march....hoping the blood test was wrong, i'll know for sure in a few weeks! best of luck to you!!
